One of the last great American piano manufacturers, Steinway & Sons pianos are still made in Long Island, New York and still represent quality American craftsmanship. This reconditioned Model L is selling for a fraction of its new counterpart. If Steinway is the standard criteria in your selection process, then this one must be included in your review.
A “Crown Jewell Collection” Steinway with brand new Wessell, Nickel & Gross whippens; Renner hammers, shanks & flanges; and Mapes bass strings, this model L is in top performing condition with the classic American sound that propelled Steinway to the top of the piano market. Produced during the golden age of Steinway’s NY based manufacturing, this instrument has been refinished in a beautiful satin mahogany finish. It retains the original Steinway soundboard free of cracks and is sure to please even the most discriminating of pianists.
*AMC Certified Rebuilt/Refinished Pianos include refinished case, new hammers, shanks and flanges, new strings and felt, tuning, voicing and action regulation. All brass has been polished to like-new or has been replaced.
